The aim of our images is to help the user not only assess their cannabis and cannabis products, but also appreciate them artistically or imaginatively. When searching for a uniform approach to documenting hash oil we went with these 3 details.
1. Form
First, the profile and form. If it is an amber shatter (like rock candy, and solid and room temperature) like the White Widow above, that should be evident in the first image.
- The profile/form. When hard-pressed, this is my favorite image we’ve taken thus far. This shatter-quality White Widow oil was in its raw form only a week ago.
2. Swatch
Second, a uniform shot (two examples shown here) of each oil showing the coloration and consistency when spread thin. We look forward to (over time) building an enormous catalog of these style photos, like so many swatches of paint!
3. Macro
Last, a macro shot of the oil being pulled away from a plain surface. This shot is a little more ‘free form’ leaving room for interpretation with each oil, the only consistent details being the extreme close-up (click picture for enlarged) and manipulating during the shot. Here Blue Dream ISO was somewhat malleable, and I favored this particular take’s surreal tornado like appearance.
Best, Jack
