The 12 Day Difference

Chemdog #4. A potent smoke sought out by users for its dominating buzz that can range from supremely relaxing, to devastatingly cerebral. Hailed medicinally for its long-lasting pain management and insomnia aid. For some it can also offer relief from anxiety. A representative of Conscious Care Cooperative was kind enough to offer the Journal a sample of multiple grows, one pulled at eight weeks, the second at nine and a half, a premium grow according to CCC.

When comparing them physically, the eight week Chemdog (we will say 8wkCD) had a looser formation with broad leaves that parted from the body, hiding the inner bud. Observing trichome production with the naked eye on 8wkCD you can see a dusting of gauzy white resin, neatly arranged but sparse. At 60x-100x magnification slim bulbs sitting atop stumpy stalks of resin that had just begun to cloud became clear.

Chemdog #4 at 9 1/2 weeks

An Inside Look at Seattle’s First Cannabis Farmer’s Market

March 7, 2011 § 6 Comments

By the time you read this, the Senate will have moved to regulate the ‘dispensary’ model, Drug Czar Kerlikowskie will have made his underwhelming march on The Seattle Times, and the city will have celebrated its first ever alternative medicine Farmer’s Market. Make no mistake, this is a very exciting time to be involved in medicinal Cannabis.

The Market was held with the blessing of the surrounding community, it was encouraging to see our law enforcement’s attitude reflecting that of the people. The Farmer’s Market provides a safe place for patients to have regular access to a variety of medicine and providers.  It looks like Seattle dates will continue being hosted in the centrally located Little Red Bistro’s ‘Moroccan Room’ near Dexter and Denny.
I topped off my morning toke of ‘Jesus‘ with a coffee from Uptown Espresso where I took preliminary notes. Once the mood struck I wandered down to the site of the Farmer’s Market. Patients enter through the front of the restaurant, passing the bar and heading through the back door. The high-ceilinged Moroccan Room housed a good deal of vendors, and a sea of patients.
